Cryptography in the real world

The goal of the course is to learn how cryptography is used in the real world.

The course takes place in room B15.

The first six courses are given by Jean-Sébastien Coron and the following seven by Alex Biryukov.

    Course: Remainder: the RSA algorithm.
    Exercise: Attacks against variants of RSA.
  2. Tuesday, September 27th: 11:30-13:00
    Course: Attacks against RSA. Coppersmith's technique.
    Exercise: applications of Coppersmith's technique.
  3. Tuesday, October 4th: 11:30-13:00
    Course: Discrete-log and elliptic curve cryptography
    Exercise: Implementation of EC El-Gamal encryption
  4. Tuesday, October 11th: 11:30-13:00
    Course: Password-based key exchange and hashing into elliptic curves.
    Exercise: Implementation of Icart's algorithm
  5. Tuesday, October 18th: 11:30-13:00
    Course: more hashing into elliptic-curves: the SWU algorihm
    Exercise: Implementation of SWU's algorithm
  6. Tuesday, October 25th: 11:30-13:00.
    Course: security proofs for signature schemes: FDH and PSS.
